“Welcome to Merlin’s Europe 2000, the Official Sticker Collection of the England Team for this summer’s European Football Championship tournament of the 21st century.

'Belelucky' the UEFA Euro 2000 MascotSince taking over the reins for qualification to the Finals from Glenn Hoddle I have been part of an exciting development in English football. Our performances in the 1996 European Championship and 1998 World Cup were very encouraging and I am proud to be England’s Head Coach in such promising times for our national team.

I was fortunate enough to appear for England during my playing career so I know what it means to the players to represent their country and to the fans who will be cheering us on throughout the tournament. There is no greater honour for a footballer and we will be giving everything to satisfy your high expectations and bring the trophy back to England, the home of football.

After beating Scotland in November’s play-offs the hard work really began. The final preparations for the tournament are vital and one of my priorities is to build on the confidence gained from such an important victory so that the squad and our fans approach the Championship in a positive frame of mind. With the nation behind us and the players performing like I know they can, England can look forward to the tournament with realistic ambitions of success.

As a lucky owner of Merlin’s Europe 2000 you are privileged to all the vital information that will take you and England through the tournament. With your support I am confident we can challenge for the honours in June and July and this fantastic companion to the Championship will guide you through all the action as it unfolds.”

- Kevin Keegan, England Head Coach
