The 1991 football sticker album from Panini was a noticeable step change from the last edition, quite a few changes both to the styling, content and approach of the 'Football' series. The inside front cover contains the introduction and contents page, which informs us that the album cover the English Division One and Scottish Premier Division clubs only.
The first page goes on to explain why the 1991 football sticker album differs from the 1990 edition; Panini have split sticker type into two different collections! The red packets, the "Foil Collection", contain club shinys, World Cup Action Stickers, Managers, Competition stickers and stick and lift stickers. The yellow packets, the "Players Collection", has the player football stickers, team stickers and also some managers and stick and lifts. As the accompanying blurb points out "You now have even more chance to get the foils you need simply by buying packets from the Foil Collection!".Over the page is a 'Jigsaw Competition' with a 9 part sticker on the facing page. Following this, Arsenal are the first team in the album, their shiny club badge appears first, in the top left of the left-hand page. Below at the bottom of the page is the team photo sticker, whilst the manager sits alongside. Two other football stickers of club players appear on the first page whilst an additional 10 squad members are on the facing page. There's also a 2-part action shit of the team in action. Wimbledon round of the English first Division section of the Panini Football 1991 Sticker Album, before Aberdeen continue the collection over the page with the first of the Scottish Premier League teams.
The album closes with 10 stickers that make up a special 'Caption Competition' section, whilst the final pages are set aside for collectors to fill with autographs they might be able to get whilst attending matches over the season.
