Panini Football League 95 Sticker Packet

The Panini Football League 95 Official Sticker Collection marks a shift in the paradigm of football sticker albums for the FA football leagues. After the inception of the Premier League in 1992/93, the ground had been wobbly beneath Panini – with a new league structure comes a new sticker publisher! The 1994 Premier League sticker album was licensed to Merlin Stickers, marking the start of one of the most successful football sticker series ever. From what we understand, Panini failed to release a football league album in 1994 in the face of new Merlin Premier League offering, and this Football League 95 was their attempt to ‘test the waters’ and see whether there was room in the market alongside the Merlin Premier League offering. As a result of Merlin having the Premier League licensing rights the Panini Football League 95 Official Sticker Collection now only contains the now re-shuffled Division 1, Division 2 and Division 3 teams.

Football League 95 No.1As Arsenal were in the lofty-heights of the Premier League this album now begins with Barnsley Football Club! The general layout and feel of the album is not dissimilar from previous Panini Football albums, the Club Logo appears on the left of the double-spread per team, with a set of stats for players and a Ten Year Record also appearing on the first page. Managers get a photo, and the squad are allocated 13 stickers. The is also a ‘Kits From the Past’ sticker which shows the progression of the team’s colours over the years.

Division 1 clubs account for over half of the sticker album, then Division Two clubs get a single page of football stickers each, these ones are two players to a sticker to get 12 to a page. Division Three clubs are crammed-in 4 to a page, with half-sized foil sticker, a team photo, and a single player sticker.
