Panini Football League 96 Sticker Packet

The second edition of the Panini Football League Sticker collection follows on from the 95 edition in very similar style. They're practically identical to all intents and purposes! Panini, having failed to secure the license for the new Premier League were forced last year to limit the coverage of the clubs to those in Division 1, Division 2 and Division 3. That said, Panini did also release the 'Super Players '96' which covered the Premier League teams in rather a different guise and with affiliation of the PFA instead of the FA.

Panini Football League 96 No.2There are no introductory stickers or features, just a summary paragraph on the first page, then the album begins with Barnsley Football Club. Much like last year's edition, the Panini Football League 96 Official Sticker Collection has a general layout and feel that is similar to previous Panini Football albums, the Club Logo appears on the left of the double-spread per team, with a set of stats for players and Last Season's Performance also appearing on the first page. Managers get a photo, and the squad are allocated 13 stickers. The second page per team shows the Ten Year Record, Player Stats and an Honours List.

Division 1 clubs account for over half of the sticker album, then Division Two clubs get a single page of football stickers each, these ones are double stickers, and only squeeze a few players onto each page. Division Three clubs are again crammed-in 4 to a page, with half-sized just a single team photo sticker and a caption naming each player.
