"While most nations would be content with one otherworldly football talent every 20 years, France had the good fortune to produce both Michel Platini and Zinédine Zidane in fairly quick succession. They made sure not to spurn their gift either, and 'Zizou' was at his fluent best as Les Bleus added the 2000 European title to their world crown.

'Belelucky' the UEFA Euro 2000 MascotThe competition had co-hosts for the first time as Belgium and the Netherlands shared duties, but only one side could go on to claim the trophy. And while they flirted with disaster against Italy in the final, few would dispute that France were worthy winners of a high-quality tournament. If anything, Roger Lemerre's side were even better than Aimé Jacquet's 1998 FIFA World Cup champions, with raw youngsters such as Thierry Henry and David Trezeguet having had two years to hone their craft."

Panini Euro 2000 Sticker Packet

The Panini UEFA Euro 2000 Belgium Netherlands Football Sticker Album is one of the most 'straight to the point' albums we've come across here at There are only 2 stickers in the entire album that aren't part of the national teams pages! These two stickers appear on the first page - the Mascot and the Tournament Logo stickers. There are no stadium stickers in this football sticker album, you have to make-do with the rear cover which shows a map of the host cities.

Over the page is an unusually detailed tournament programme and qualifying summary, looking back over the historic results leading up to the Euro 2000 finals. Then, as we mentioned above, we get straight into the national team stickers! Germany are first in Group A. Each team gets 3 pages of football stickers, the first includes the shiny team badge and a two-part team photo, as well as the first 5 of 20 squad football stickers. That's one of the highest number of player stickers per team to-date.

There are no sore losers in this football album; every single national team gets the full allocation of 3 pages, unlike other albums where two or three of the smaller teams are limited to only one or two pages at the end. This explains how the album remains 'full-size' with the usual number of stickers despite having no introductory or supporting football sticker pages.
